Remnants of Mississippi Culture

DIXIE

Alabama was a major hub for the Mississippi Culture during 1,000 to 1,600 AD. Remains of this culture have been found in Moundville, a major city. The archeological site at Moundville has been able to preserve the artifacts of this culture, so future generations may study and enjoy them.

Mississippi River

The majority of the land in Alabama is made up of a gentle slope towards the Mississippi River. The remaining land in the North is hilly, and the Mississippi creates numerous natural features such as rivers, valleys, streams, fountains and lakes.

Natural Bridge Rock

This is one of the world's most unique, as well as the longest, natural bridges. The bridge is about 127 feet long. It's also a gateway to Natural Bridge Park, which has many adventurous activities as well as places of interest suitable for all age-groups.
